Dante will reunite McGregor with long-time collaborator Edward Watson, a former principal dancer. Christopher Wheeldon, the genius British choreographer whose work is sought all over the world, will present Like Water for Chocolate , the Mexican novel by Laura Esquivel.
The novel is part-romance, part-family saga and with a supernatural, mystical underbelly and as the balletic brainchild of Wheeldon, finds itself in capable hands. The Royal Ballet have also secured Mexican conductor Alonda de la Parra, a cultural ambassador for her country, who will work with Joby Tolbert who will be behind the score. View on Instagram.
